The Holgate Academy is currently working towards being accredited with the Investors in Pupils quality mark. The mark will recognise the outstanding work that takes place in the academy over 5 key areas, learning, behaviour, attendance (including punctuality), classroom management and induction.
Investors in Pupils (IIP) is an established national quality mark that recognises, develops and extends pupil/student voice and participation strategies for schools to build young people’s life skills, character and resilience. Supporting personalised learning, the programme fosters healthy relations leading to greater pupil responsibility over their own learning and behaviour at the same time as providing a powerful tool for developing a positive whole school ethos.
IIP has been running for 15 years and has over 500 accredited schools across 50 UK local education authorities. Many schools have successfully reaccredited on several occasions.
A weekly update on IIP will be included in the Academies parent mail and also on the Academies Website.
