The Holgate Academy is proud to announce we have achieved Investors in Pupils status

At The Holgate Academy we are extremely proud to announce that we have achieved the Investors in Pupils award and we are now officially accredited.

On Monday 10th July the academy welcomed two assessors who experienced a typical day at The Holgate Academy. The assessors were taken on a tour of the academy before meeting with senior leaders, governors, parents, teaching and non- teaching - staff and most importantly over 45 of our fantastic students.

During the meetings the assessors asked detailed questions about all aspects of academy life. They were very impressed with the answers they received especially, and commented on the passion displayed by the students. The students enthusiasm shone through- they wanted to continue to work together to make the school a better place for everyone.

The assessors clearly acknowledged that the academy provides a safe and secure place for all of our students to learn and develop and that excellent behaviour is demonstrated by our students.

Work carried out at tutor time on the pledge booklets was singled out as an excellent example of students being able to review record and set targets in both academic and non-academic areas. The assessors also considered that the pledge booklets provided students with a great resource to record rewards and successes throughout their time at Holgate.

Ms Forsey the Academy Director stated that “the Investors in Pupils award is a true recognition of all the hard work that takes place within the Holgate community. To receive such positive feedback from the assessors was truly brilliant and well deserved recognition for everyone, making me very proud to lead such a successful academy!”

Holgate’s Investor in Pupils coordinator Mr Diamond commented. “To receive this recognition from Investors in Pupils for the day to day work we do across the academy is fantastic. I am extremely proud of everyone in the academy and pleased that the students, staff and governors have been recognised for the hard work and care they evidence on a day to day basis that contributes to making Holgate such a successful academy and brilliant place to be.”

“Myself and the governors are extremely proud of the academy staff and students for achieving Investors in Pupils status. The Holgate Academy continues to work hard for the local community and this is another step on our journey to become an Ofsted Outstanding school. Well done everyone!”
