Joining us in 2021?

Calling all parents of year 6 pupils – 1 March 2021 saw national offer day for secondary school places.

For those pupils who have been offered a place at The Holgate Academy, we can’t wait to meet you during your transition activities, and for you to become part of our academy community in September.

It’s very important to accept this offer as soon as you can – parents/carers will need to do this through Nottinghamshire County Council – an email should have been received with instructions on how to do this.

Almost 91% of Nottinghamshire children were offered their first choice of school last year. If you haven’t received the offer you were hoping for and you wish to appeal, help is available here: https://bit.ly/37eke2E.

September 2020 transition resources

For September 2020 transition information and resources, visit our 2020 intake transition page.

Here at The Holgate Academy we run a transition programme to support and prepare students from year 5 upwards for secondary education.

For the crucial transition time from year 6 to year 7, we provide key support at every step of this process, ensuring that all children and their families make this transition as smoothly as possible.

Upon joining The Holgate Academy, we issue a ‘welcome guide’ containing essential information for parents and students.
