Thursday 28th March saw the finale of the 4th Holgate Academy Science Bake Off which was won by Dion and Mr Devonshire. They collected their 1st place medals and were named champions of 2019. Their bubbling conical flask cake showed exceptional cake making skill, and excellent presentation and creativity.
The second place silver medal went to Jennna and Miss Lord for their plant cell cake, complete with wavy mitochondria. Third place went to Josh Weir and Charlie who were helped by Miss Batchelor and Miss Shaw.
The Science Bake Off is an opportunity to showcase the excellent talents of our pupils and generally just an opportunity to try something different and fun. As always it was a pleasure to work alongside these students who are a credit to our academy.
