Arts Showcase Rehearsals

The students at The Holgate Academy have been working flat over the last few weeks in preparation for their ‘Annual Arts Showcase’. The voices are tuned, the muscles are stretched and the lines are learnt… this week the boards shall be tread!
They hope you will join them in a fun-filled evening of drama, dance and music, in over an hour of exciting songs, scenes and movement pieces; some of which the students have choreographed and devised themselves!
We look forward to seeing you on Thursday evening, 2nd March 2017 at 7:00pm to showcase their talents! Tickets are on sale at Hillcrest Reception. £3 for adults and £2 for children.

Futsal County Champions

On Tuesday 21st February 2017, The Holgate Academy Futsal team represented Ashfield (having not lost a game in qualifying as area Champions) against seven other areas: Broxtowe, Bassetlaw, Mansfield, Nottingham City (1), Rushcliffe, Newark and Sherwood, and Nottingham City (2).
The amazing team from The Holgate Academy remained undefeated in their 7 games and won the competition hosted by Nottingham University therefore becoming County Champions!  A great achievement for our Year 7 boys Futsal team!

Ski Trip 2017 Blog Day Seven

All students have successfully completed the skiing week without injury! All have arrived safely back in the hotel. As a note from the three staff we want to let it be known how brilliant all the students have been. We have been nothing but impressed by them all week! At no point has any student complained, or moped everyone of them have been positive and fantastic throughout. They have been a credit to themselves, their parents/carers and the school. We are three very proud teachers.
