On Thursday 8 May and Friday 9 May, two large groups of year 8 students embarked on an enriching trip to the National Justice Museum in Nottingham.

Spanning five floors, the museum offers a fascinating journey through time, featuring a Victorian courtroom, a Georgian gaol, and historic cells dating back centuries. Through immersive spaces, authentic objects, and compelling stories, it brings to life the profound impact of justice and the law on individuals, communities, and society.

Students had the opportunity to explore the evolution of justice from the Georgian era to the Victorian period and into the present day. One of the highlights of the visit was a modern-day courtroom simulation, for which students had prepared in advance. This hands-on experience deepened their understanding of legal processes and historical changes in law enforcement.

The trip was highly educational, providing an invaluable perspective on justice through time. Our year 8 students were engaged throughout the activities, demonstrating enthusiasm and curiosity. They were a credit to themselves and to our academy.
