Mrs A Wilford – Young Carer lead and science teacher
Role at The Holgate Academy:
Mrs A Wilford is dedicated to identifying and supporting young carers at Holgate Academy. She leads a program designed to help these students achieve their full potential and reduce school absences. By collaborating with organizations like the TuVida charity and Nottingham Young Carers, Mrs. Wilford ensures that students have opportunities to connect with other young carers and participate in activities outside of school.
Interests:
Outside of her school role, Mrs. Wilford is passionate about safeguarding. She serves as the safeguarding lead for the Ollerton Rugby Juniors and actively participates in the seniors team. Additionally, she is involved in local fundraising and charity events.
