This year, we celebrate National Thank a Teacher Day on Wednesday 18 June. It’s a day to honour our country’s incredible teachers and school staff. In keeping with this spirit, we asked our student forum to reflect on which teacher has made a difference to them this year and why they would like to say thank you.
Ellis said, “I would like to thank my drama teacher, Mr Smyth, for always being supportive and kind to me.”
China said, “I would like to thank Mrs Bruce, who teaches me Futures. She’s really approachable and caring.”
Abigail said, “I would like to thank my design technology teacher, Miss Orchard-Robson, as she’s very friendly and polite to me.”
Feranmi said, “I would like to thank Mr Harrison, who teaches me maths. He makes our lessons fun, which really helps with my learning.”
Matt said, “I would like to thank my maths teacher, Mr Doyle, as he’s really kind, caring, and funny.”
Tommy said, “I would like to thank Miss Cousins, who teaches me Futures. She’s really approachable and nice.”
Cienna said, “I would like to thank my music teacher, Mr Butterworth, as he gives me great advice on how I can progress and improve in music.”
A big thank you to our student forum for your lovely feedback about our teachers. I’m sure they’ll love reading your kind words. And a huge thank you to all our teachers for everything you do for our students at Holgate.
