On Thursday 11 December, we were delighted to invite our year 11 students to take part in mock interviews. This valuable and unique exercise allowed students to practise and improve their interview skills, while also boosting their confidence and reducing anxiety ahead of real-life job interviews.

We were joined by a variety of organisations from our local community, including the British Army, the Land Registry, HSBC, Link3 Recruitment, Takeover Radio, Jaguar Land Rover, Learner Engagement, the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), Spelt and Rye Artisan Bakery, Ashfield Council, West Nottinghamshire College, Nottingham College, Nottinghamshire Police and Diverse Academies Trust. It was also fantastic to once again welcome back alumnus Kemrie’Beth from the DWP. It is always lovely to see familiar faces, including some of our former colleagues.

Our students performed exceptionally well throughout the day, despite feeling a little apprehensive at the start. They agreed that the experience was incredibly worthwhile and would help them prepare for real-life job interviews in the future.

Well done to all of our students for taking part, and a huge, heartfelt thank you to all the organisations who took time out of their day to support the mock interviews. The event could not have taken place without you.
