On Thursday 5 February, we were delighted and honoured to once again receive the Young Carer Friendly Award from the Nottinghamshire Carers Association.
The certificate was awarded in recognition of our commitment to identifying and supporting young carers in our school, and it acknowledges the excellent work and provision we have in place to support them. It was also suggested that we are one of the leading examples in the local area—something we take great pride in.
We were incredibly proud to accept this award, which will be displayed with pride in our school.
This year’s Young Carers Action Day is due to take place on Wednesday 12 March and will once again be a day dedicated to supporting and raising awareness of young carers within our Holgate community.
