Recently, many of our year 10 students took part in work experience placements. Work experience can be incredibly rewarding and offers students the opportunity to develop vital skills for the future. It also helps them gain an understanding of the working world while refining their career goals. Our students completed placements across a range of sectors, including aircraft engineering, education, childcare, and the building trade.

One of our students, Lacey, was fortunate enough to undertake her placement at Creed Foodservice. Creed Foodservice is a leading UK foodservice wholesaler, delivering high-quality, multi-temperature products alongside reliable service.

Customer Service Executive Katie Jones provided some insight into Lacey’s time at Creed Foodservice:

“Lacey learned all about the systems we use in customer service, including Vecta (our diary system, where we log all calls, emails, and live chats), 8×8 (our telephone system), Accord (our system for checking stock levels, viewing invoices, and placing orders), and Live Chat (where customers can ask questions through the website).

Katie added:

“We also showed Lacey how we log and manage customer complaints, as well as how we request credits for customers who have received missing or damaged items. Lacey was highly engaged when we talked through our day-to-day tasks and asked many questions to help build her understanding. Overall, it was a pleasure to have Lacey work alongside us.”

Well done to Lacey and all of our students who took part in work experience. I am sure your effort and hard work were greatly valued by your employers.

We would also like to extend a huge and heartfelt thank you to all the local companies that were able to offer placements to our students. Your support is greatly appreciated.
