On Wednesday 1 July, we were delighted to welcome our prospective new year 12 sixth form students for an introductory day. The purpose of the day was to give them a taste of their chosen subjects while also providing an opportunity to spend time in our sixth form centre.
The day got off to a great start with a welcome presentation from Mr Brown, our Head of Sixth Form. Students then had the opportunity to meet the subject leaders for their chosen courses, as well as take part in team-building activities, including the marshmallow and spaghetti challenge. They also enjoyed a quiz, with both the new students and our year 13 students working together in small groups.
Our students left feeling excited, enthusiastic and positive, and we look forward to welcoming them to Holgate in September.
