Students are enjoying a wider range of reading opportunities thanks to a generous donation from local housebuilder Langridge Homes.
The donation has been used to purchase a collection of new books for our library, providing students with access to fresh, engaging and inspiring reading materials across a variety of genres and interests.
Reading is a fundamental part of education, helping young people develop literacy skills, expand their vocabulary, improve concentration and spark their imagination. It also supports wellbeing, empathy and creativity, encouraging students to explore new ideas and perspectives beyond the classroom.
Principal Henry Diamond said:
“We are incredibly grateful to Langridge Homes for their generous donation to our library project. Their support has enabled us to purchase a fantastic range of new books that are already making a real difference to our students. We value the support Langridge Homes has shown to our students and school, and we hope this is the beginning of a long-term partnership that will create even more opportunities for future projects.”
A huge thank you to Langridge Homes for their generosity and commitment to supporting young people. This donation highlights the positive impact that strong partnerships between schools and local businesses can have, helping to enrich students’ educational experiences and strengthen the wider community.
