The new academic year commenced in late August with a celebration of our students’ fantastic achievements at both A level and GCSE. Results days were marked by staff and students coming together to recognise and celebrate individual and collective successes, while also looking forward to the exciting opportunities that lie ahead.

Since the start of the term, both staff and students have demonstrated a strong commitment to the new academic year. It was a pleasure to welcome all students back to the academy during assemblies, where they were commended for their smart appearance and readiness to learn.

In addition to our returning students, we were delighted to welcome our new year 7 cohort to the academy. Their enthusiasm and eagerness to engage in school life has been a pleasure to see, particularly when visiting their lessons and observing their high levels of engagement and motivation.

Reflecting on the previous academic year and the recent Ofsted inspection, the academy remains dedicated to continuous improvement, striving to make Holgate an Academy that staff, students, and the community can take pride in.

A significant contributor to our success has been the support from you, our parents and carers. Your commitment to your children and the academy is deeply valued and plays a vital role in ensuring that Holgate equips all students for success and remains at the heart of the community.
