We understand that the transition from primary to secondary school is one of the most significant and exciting milestones your child will experience. It’s completely normal for them to feel both nervous and excited about this change. Many students feel the same way each year; however, they quickly settle in and come to see The Holgate Academy as a second home.

Our transition tours provide an opportunity for parents/carers and students to look around the school and ask any questions to the year team and SEND staff, who will also be present.
Meet the tutor evening 2025
Our meet the tutor evening is the perfect opportunity for you to meet your child’s tutor and our pastoral team. You will also have the chance to share information with tutors, receive an update on the transition process, and meet our attendance team.
