British values poster competition winners!

Well done to year 8 tutor group 8STN who are the overall winners of the British values poster competition.

Despite tough competition from other tutor groups across the years, the judges decided that this poster embodied the spirit of British values beautifully and communicated them very effectively.

Tutors Ms Lord-Braddock and Miss Titterton are pictured with Amelia and Seth, representing their group and displaying the winning entry. When asked about the competition, both students agreed that it had really made them all think about British values and what they meant.

Miss Lord said of the exercise: “Students started the competition with a good understanding of British values following work we had done in tutor group and they were keen to get involved in this task. They all engaged well and we’re delighted that their entry won! I’m sure this will help them to remember what British values are and why they are so important.”
