We are delighted to once again take part in the annual Hucknall Christmas tree festival at the Church of St Mary Magdalene — a much-loved community event that brings together local businesses and organisations to showcase their creativity during the festive season.
Each year, our prefect team selects a theme for the school’s tree display. For 2025, they chose to celebrate a remarkable milestone: 70 years since The Holgate Academy first opened its doors in 1955.
To mark the occasion, our prefects created wooden ornaments using our laser cutter to produce crafted ‘70’ decorations in elegant platinum tones to honour our platinum anniversary.
Principal, Henry Diamond, commented “This year we wanted to choose a theme that was both unique and special to Holgate, and our platinum anniversary was perfect. This event is a fantastic celebration of community spirit, and we’re proud to be involved once again in such a joyful event.”
Thank you to the organisers of the Hucknall Christmas tree festival for providing a wonderful opportunity to celebrate creativity, history, and community togetherness.
