Students enjoyed a fantastic day of celebration on Tuesday 21 July as we hosted our final Holgate Achievers event of the year, followed by the annual Holgate awards ceremonies for years 7 to 10.
The Holgate Achievers event recognised students who have consistently demonstrated excellent behaviour and an outstanding attitude towards learning across all of their subjects throughout the academic year.
As a reward for their hard work and commitment, students were invited to attend in non-uniform and spent the day enjoying a range of activities, including inflatables on the academy field. The event provided a well-deserved opportunity for students to celebrate their achievements with friends and staff.
Throughout the day, students represented the academy exceptionally well, demonstrating the positive attitudes and behaviours that had earned them their place at the event. The reward was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended.
The celebrations continued into the evening with two Holgate Awards ceremonies. The first event welcomed year 7 and 8 students and their families from 5-7pm, followed by a second ceremony for year 9 and 10 students from 6-8pm.
The awards recognised the many accomplishments of students throughout the year, celebrating academic success, personal development and contributions to academy life. Following the ceremonies, students were also given the opportunity to enjoy the inflatables, adding an extra element of fun to an already memorable occasion.
Congratulations to everyone who attended one or both events. It was a fantastic day of celebration and a fitting way to recognise the students who have worked so hard throughout the year and consistently demonstrated excellent behaviour and a positive attitude towards learning.
Well done to all of our award winners and Holgate Achievers. We are incredibly proud of your accomplishments and look forward to seeing your continued success in the year ahead.
