Our extra-curricular provision for students is flourishing, with an ever-growing timetable of clubs and activities that range from sewing to choir, Warhammer to art, gardening to trampolining and everything in between. There really is something for everyone.

As if that weren’t enough, this week has seen us adding a brand new sport to the mix – Kings League.  An unusual and highly entertaining take on football created by Gerard Pique, former Manchester United and Barcelona defender. Mr Mills is running weekly sessions for year 9 and 10 students with plans to open it up to other year groups if it proves popular.

There is no charge to take part in any of the clubs, students can join as many as they like, and it’s a great opportunity for them to learn new skills, acquire new hobbies, make new friends and have a good time in the process.  An added bonus is that participation in extra-curricular activities has been shown to improve academic attainment.
