Apprentice star and former Holgate student, David Stevenson, visited the academy this week to spend time with students who achieved over 97% attendance this term.
Over 400 young people from years seven to ten were treated to milkshakes from Alaskan Ice in Hucknall – an ice cream and milkshake parlour opened by David in 2018. The team brought milkshake makers and ovens to provide tasty treats for the students.
Mr Diamond, who looks after attendance at Holgate, invited the team from Alaskan Ice following a successful event last half-term.
He said: “Well done to the students for their brilliant attendance, and a big thank you to our parents and carers for supporting them this term and throughout the academy year.”
Thank you to David and his team for a thoroughly enjoyable time. Year 11 students will receive their treat for top attendance this week.
