Why did you become a governor?
I wanted to become a school governor to make a positive impact on students’ education, support the school community and use my skills to help shape a successful, inclusive environment for all.
How did you find out about the role?
I applied to become a governor when they advertised for a new parent governor.
What do you like about the role, and how do governors make a difference?
I enjoy being a school governor because it allows me to positively impact students’ learning and well being while supporting or school community. My experience has been rewarding as I’ve learned about school operations and have enjoyed working with a dedicated team. Governors make a difference by setting a vision, holding leadership accountable and ensuring resources are used effectively to benefit students and staff.
