Harry, one of our year 10 students, was fortunate enough to complete his work experience placement with Compleat Food Group, working in the food development department. Compleat Food Group is a food company on a mission to create great-quality, tasty and affordable food that people love to eat.

During his placement, Harry took part in a number of different activities, including working with the development team to create new products. He also learned about organoleptic testing, which he found particularly interesting, as it provided an insight into what goes into developing food products for supermarkets.

His favourite moment was creating his own Parmesan scones with a chilli and cheese sauce, which he presented to the team and received really positive feedback on. Harry had always been interested in the possibility of a career in food, but this work experience placement has helped him decide that it is definitely what he wants to do in the future.

Well done to Harry—it sounds like he fully embraced his work experience placement. A huge thank you to Compleat Food Group for providing this valuable opportunity.
