On Wednesday 18th April, the Holgate Academy Choir and A Cappella group joined with other Nottinghamshire schools to perform on stage at Nottingham Royal Concert Hall as part of the ‘Live at Lunch’ programme. Students took part in an exciting workshop with National Youth Choir director Dominic Peckham, and had the opportunity to work with members of the National Youth Choirs. The workshop involved all schools coming together and preparing 2 outstanding performances in just 90 minutes before showcasing them to a public audience.

In addition to the workshop performances, students from The Holgate Academy also performed their own arrangement of George Michael’s ‘Freedom’, fused with Robbie Williams’ ‘Let Me Entertain You’ to rousing applause. All students involved should be extremely proud of themselves for their performances and dedication shown through rehearsals leading up to the big day!
