A Summer Concert was held at The Holgate Academy.
The concert held last night (Thursday 6 July) featured 19 performers from years 7 to 10. The audience heard from solo singers and musicians; bands and our choir.
It was the first Academy summer concert since the Covid pandemic.
Concert organiser, Teacher of Music Mr Butterworth, said: “It was wonderful to see so much talent. We had vibrant vocals to perfect piano playing, excellent guitar work to tremendous trumpet playing.
“We also saw the academy’s first Music for Youth entry, with ‘The Six’ performing hits from musicals; featuring years 8, 9 and 10 students.
“The academy’s choir rounded off the concert, featuring solo sections from five students.”
