Holgate’s first gig night is a hit!

This week saw The Holgate Academy’s first ever gig night take place, and what a success!

With students and staff performing, the audience were treated to an evening of fantastic music from our very own – and very talented – musicians and singers.

Mr Butterworth, who organised the event, said: “I’ve wanted to do something like this for ages!”

The students loved seeing the shocked faces in the audience as they realised just how high the standard of the music was. One student was clearly feeling very proud and said: “It’s exciting to be around so much talent and just around people who care so much about music.”

We have it on very good authority that this may have been the first gig night, but it certainly won’t be the last!
