On Thursday 6 November, our year 13 students had the unique opportunity to take part in mock interviews. This exercise provides a number of key benefits, including boosting confidence, reducing anxiety, and improving communication skills through practice and constructive feedback.

Despite a few students feeling nervous and apprehensive, all our students performed exceptionally well on the day. Once they had completed this invaluable exercise, they agreed that it was a worthwhile experience and that it will stand them in good stead when they face real-life interviews in the future.

We had a number of local businesses supporting the event by interviewing our students, including the NHS, HSBC, Design Nest, The Land Registry, Link3 Recruitment, Nottingham College, the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), Motus Commercial, and Diverse Academies Trust. It was also fantastic to see alumni Kemrie’Beth from the DWP and Tracey from HSBC—it’s always nice to see familiar faces.

A huge thank you to all our interviewers for taking time out of their day to come and support the event. It is much appreciated, and the event could not have taken place without you. Finally, well done to all our year 13 students who took part—you performed brilliantly on the day despite some initial hesitancy.
