As our Normandy school trip draws to a close, day four offered one final burst of excitement before the trek back to Nottingham. Students embraced the day with high spirits, plenty of shopping bags, and took time to reflect on their experiences by writing down their favourite moments along with advice for students on future trips in a book.

Before boarding the coach for home, we stopped at a hypermarché — a shopper’s paradise! Students relished the chance to browse the sprawling aisles filled with French snacks, souvenirs, fashion, and quirky gift items. Many practised their language skills at the checkout and delighted in picking out treats to take home to family and friends.

With bags safely packed and plenty of memories made, we began the journey back to Nottingham. The coach buzzed with laughter, stories, music, and a few sleepy heads. Students reflected on a week of learning, bonding, and exploration — an unforgettable adventure across Normandy.

We’re incredibly proud of how they represented the school throughout the trip. Their curiosity, respectfulness, and enthusiasm shone through each day.

A huge thank you to staff, students, and all those who supported the trip. Until next time — au revoir — and enjoy reading about our students’ favourite experiences and advice!
