Why study A level history?
History enables you to develop an understanding of the past and provides you with an overview of change and continuity of human history. You will learn about three key periods in time – Tudor England, Germany from 1918 to 1945, and the Middle East from 1895 to 2000. Developing understanding of the social, historical and political significance of these periods, you will also gain skills of analysis and interpretation in an intellectually challenging course.
These key techniques are suited to careers in history, law, journalism, politics and social sciences – to name just a few.
