Why study A level photography?
Photography is a popular course with students who want to extend their knowledge of different art forms. You will have the opportunity to develop a wide range of photographic skills ranging from experimental image making, studio, location and digital. You will produce a portfolio of practical work that shows a wide range of high-quality images that you have created. We encourage students to find their own voice within photography and explore projects that have a personal interest.
You will also get the opportunity to visit galleries on trips to London, Sheffield and Nottingham, and also a dark room trip to Nottingham Trent University.
Future pathways and careers include professional photography, art and design, web development, media and journalism.
*We welcome high-quality portfolios of independent work to be submitted for consideration before application for students who did not study GCSE art or photography.
