This week a group of our sixth form students from Hucknall Sixth Form Centre gave up a day of their half-term to engage in a creative and informative trip to Nottingham Trent University.

The students explored the photography department, taking part in a darkroom workshop to learn about creating photograms and using acetate prints. They all approached the task with enthusiasm and showed off their creative skills with the work they produced.

Students who are considering University after their time at HSFC were also treated to a tour of the campus, including the historic Waverley Building and the students’ union.

A fabulous experience for all, with our students representing themselves, The Holgate Academy and the centre superbly.
