Together with celebrating our student successes, when staff do brilliant things we love to shout about this too! Recently our deputy site manager Mr Clurow supported the Nottingham based charity Framework by sleeping outside for a night, as they held their Big Sleep Out event at the City Ground.

Framework is a charity delivering housing, health, employment, support and care services to people with a diverse range of needs. The event sees individuals sleeping outside for the night to experience how it can feel to sleep rough, raising important funds to continue their work and raising awareness of the issues facing homeless people.

Mr Clurow, who raised £260 in sponsorship, chose to get involved after seeing an advert for the event in the Nottingham Forest FC matchday programme, and says: “Forest support this charity through regular food collections and at various events through the year. I decided to get involved as I have personally noticed an increase in rough-sleepers in and around Nottingham, particular on the Trent Embankment as I make my way to the City Ground on match day. It is only a small gesture to sleep rough for one night, but hopefully the money I raised will go towards helping someone to being kept off the streets during Christmas.”

A big well done to Mr Clurow for supporting this important charity. To find out more about Framework, visit www.frameworkha.org
