On Wednesday 10 November, we were delighted to once again hold our annual Christmas carol concert at the Church of St Mary Magdalene. Every year, our concert is a special night to remember, and this year was no exception. We were joined by 4 local primary schools: Leen Mills Primary School, Hucknall Flying High Academy, Holgate Primary and Nursery School, and Beardall Fields Primary and Nursery School.
The evening featured performances from each school, with a wonderful selection of Christmas songs and carols. Our own choir also performed, led by year 12 student Jess, who has recently taken on the role of choir leader. All students who took part in the concert performed exceptionally well and were a credit to their schools.
Principal Henry Diamond commented, “Last night was our annual Christmas carol concert and, once again, it was a fabulous and joyful community event that showcased the amazing talent we have not only at Holgate, but also in the local primary schools that attended. All students were a credit to their academy and to the wider local community.”
