Celebrating excellence: The Holgate Academy is awarded Artsmark Gold
We are thrilled to announce that The Holgate Academy has achieved the prestigious Artsmark Gold Award, a testament to our unwavering dedication to arts and culture in education. This accolade recognizes our long-term commitment and the significant impact of arts education on our students and staff.
The Artsmark assessors praised our academy for providing a diverse range of arts and cultural experiences, through collaborations with local organisations and engaging field trips, to give every student access to enriching artistic opportunities.
These initiatives culminate in vibrant showcases across multiple disciplines from design and technology, dance, photography, and fine art, that resonate within our school community and beyond.
We are immensely proud of this achievement and grateful for the guidance provided by our dedicated staff and supportive community.”
Mr Henry Diamond, principal
Our leadership team’s steadfast support has been instrumental, ensuring a robust arts curriculum from key stage 3 through to key stage 5. Assessors commented on our gig nights, creative arts prefects, and collaborative projects with local primary schools that have supported our efforts to boost students’ engagement with the arts.
This award marks a milestone in our pursuit of excellence, and we eagerly anticipate the exciting artistic endeavours yet to come.
Join us in celebrating this remarkable achievement as we continue to inspire and empower through the transformative power of the arts.
