This past Sunday, some of our year 11 and sixth form students proudly represented the academy at the Hucknall Remembrance Day parade. Accompanied by Miss McKenna, they joined the community in honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice, concluding the parade by laying a wreath at the Cenotaph in Titchfield Park on behalf of the entire academy.

On Monday, 11th November, we continued to honor these heroes with a solemn Remembrance event held in the academy quad, live-streamed to the whole academy community. Representatives from each form group gathered, with some students proudly wearing their cadet and scout uniforms. During the ceremony, we observed a two-minute silence while Mr. Butterworth played “The Last Post,” paying tribute to those who lost their lives in conflict.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone involved in the ceremony and to our students for their impeccable respect and dedication.

We will remember them.
