A vision of the future cities they might one day live in was given to our year 9 students, by researchers at the University of Nottingham.
Students heard from university academics how the cities of the future might look and toured university workshops revealing some of the technology that could be used; with demonstrations including a dancing robot reindeer, a student-built Formula 1 vehicle, cycle power and (for those who remember that far back) ‘house robot’ Sgt Bash from UK tech game show Robot Wars.
Half the Holgate Academy group got to make some very interesting designs using virtual reality gravity art.
All students behaved impeccably during the University of Nottingham visit, reported staff who accompanied them.
