A group of 34 enthusiastic year 10 students recently took part in an exciting Fashion Experience Day at Nottingham Trent University (NTU), gaining first-hand insight into the world of fashion and textiles.

During the visit, students had the opportunity to meet NTU alumni who are now working professionally within the fashion industry, as well as current university students studying across the fashion and textiles faculty. The experience gave students a valuable insight into the wide range of creative pathways available within the sector.

Throughout the day, students participated in a variety of interactive workshops tailored to different areas of fashion and design. Sessions included marketing and brand design, silhouette draping, weaving, and leather accessory creation, allowing students to explore both the creative and technical aspects of the industry.

The trip provided an inspiring opportunity for students to develop new skills, discover potential future career paths, and experience university life within a creative environment.

Well done to all students who attended the trip. Your attitude and behaviour were exemplary throughout. Thank you also to NTU for hosting such an inspiring experience.
