The year 12 Young Enterprise group attended the Ashfield District finals at Vision West Notts College last week. The group, have run their own business- ‘The Little Business’ over the last year. The business is registered with Companies House and the group have had training to learn the nuts and bolts of running a real business such as marketing, selling and managing finances. They have been successful over the year, selling Christmas and Easter themed products at HSFC and shopping centres.
The evening involved the group having to set up their stand, be interviewed by the judges on the company report and give a presentation about their business. The students did incredibly well, getting very positive feedback from the judges. Unfortunately they weren’t selected to go through to the Nottingham final but they did win the ‘Financial Management’ prize. Watch this space for their appearance on ‘The Apprentice’ in the next couple of years!
