We were delighted to welcome prospective students and their families to this year’s year 6 open evening, which proved to be a fantastic showcase of everything that makes Holgate such a special place to learn, grow and succeed.
The evening began with a warm welcome from Principal Mr Henry Diamond, who shared our vision and values and highlighted the many opportunities available to students at Holgate. Families then had the opportunity to explore the school, meet staff and students, and experience first-hand the vibrant and supportive environment that defines our community.
Throughout the evening, visitors enjoyed a wide range of interactive activities across different subject areas. From taking part in exciting science experiments and testing their skills at table tennis to having a go on the trampolines, there was plenty to see, do and discover. The enthusiasm and engagement shown by our guests created a wonderful atmosphere throughout the school.

A special thank you goes to our student helpers, who represented Holgate exceptionally well throughout the evening. Their enthusiasm, professionalism and willingness to support visitors played a significant role in making the event such a success. From leading tours and answering questions to sharing their experiences, they were fantastic ambassadors for our school.
