Our 2023 academy panto Cinderella has been hailed a success.
After months of hard work by our students and staff three evening shows and an afternoon matinee were staged for audiences from Wednesday to Friday last week, with over 400 people enjoying the performances.
The pantomime, directed by academy music teacher Mr Butterworth and written by former staff member Rebecca Morris, was a hit; with a Holgate Primary and Nursery School teacher posting on Facebook (after their children saw the show) that: “All the way back to school, the children talked about how much they enjoyed it and were singing along to the songs.”
Henry Diamond, Holgate Academy principal, said: “The show was a huge success and showed just how talented our students are. Their hard work and commitment, coupled with their talent, meant everyone enjoyed the show.”
Funds raised from show ticket sales will go towards future shows and equipment.
