Congratulations to our student and staff members of the month

Last week Mr Pennington was proud to present certificates to acknowledge our student and staff members of the month for November 2020.

Year 8 student Ellie Norris is our student of the month – she was chosen to receive this award by Mr Pennington because of her hard work and determination to learn, particularly in science. She is pictured being presented her certificate, alongside year 8 tutor Miss Westgate.

Also pictured is Ms Driscoll – head of our science faculty – who was awarded Holgate colleague of the month.

Ellie and Ms Driscoll both completed a whole-school challenge based on volume and surface area, with a real-life link to science and maths work from the National Curriculum.
