Just before half term, we had the pleasure of welcoming Nottingham College to The Holgate Academy. They came to share valuable insights about A-Levels, T-Levels, and apprenticeships with our year 10 students. This visit was a fantastic opportunity for our students to learn more about their options for further education.
The event was a key part of our year 10 Careers Week, which took place just before the half-term break. It was designed to help students make informed decisions about their future paths. The session covered the different routes they can take after finishing their GCSEs, offering detailed information on the benefits and challenges of each option.
Our students showed great enthusiasm and engagement throughout the visit. They asked thoughtful questions and participated in lively debates about whether A-Levels, T-Levels, or apprenticeships would be the best choice for them. This interaction not only helped them understand the different pathways but also encouraged them to think critically about their own strengths, interests, and career goals.
The visit from Nottingham College was an invaluable part of our careers education program. It provided our year 10 students with a clearer picture of what lies ahead and the confidence to make decisions about their education and future careers. We are grateful to Nottingham College for their time and expertise and look forward to more such collaborations in the future.
