On Thursday, 6 December, our year 11 business studies students were invited to take part in a dropdown day with Mr. Merrick and Miss Cousins. This provided students with the perfect opportunity to gain support with business studies content and writing techniques ahead of starting their coursework in January. The coursework will involve writing a business plan for a case study business under exam conditions.
Throughout the day, students were taught key topics such as business ownership, legal structures, pricing strategies, the product life cycle, and methods of production. The dropdown day served as a supportive measure to help build confidence and reinforce business studies knowledge, ensuring all students feel equipped for success.
Well done to all students who attended the day. They were highly engaged and showed great enthusiasm, especially during the practical elements. We’re sure they are all feeling confident and will do fantastically when they start their coursework in January.
