On Wednesday 10 June, a large group of year 8 students visited the National Justice Museum in Nottingham. The purpose of the visit was to learn about the past and present justice system through a range of engaging and interactive activities.
During the visit, students took part in a mock court, where they had to decide the fate of a young person who had been cyberbullying and verbally threatening another young person. They also enjoyed a fascinating tour of the museum, meeting characters representing figures from the past, including a jailer from a debtors’ prison and a matron from a women’s prison.
Throughout the day, students were an absolute credit to the school. Their behaviour was exemplary, and they embraced every opportunity to participate in the interactive sessions with enthusiasm and maturity. The visit provided a valuable insight into the justice system, both past and present, and was an enjoyable and memorable experience for all involved.
Well done to all the students who attended. We are incredibly proud of the way they represented the school and hope they found the trip both enjoyable and worthwhile.
