I attended The Holgate Academy, formerly known as The Holgate Comprehensive School, from 2008 to 2013.
School wasn’t the most exciting place for me, as I wasn’t the most academic student, but I have some of the best memories from those years—memories that helped shape me into who I am today.
With the immense help of teachers such as Mr Lee, my English teacher; Mr Dziomback, my form tutor; and Mr White, who pushed me to achieve my maths grades (I really struggled with maths), a huge shout-out is definitely deserved.
With their help, I achieved brilliant grades in my core subjects and a Distinction** in Health and Social Care, which set me on the right path toward a fantastic career.
I was formerly known for being a teaching assistant at Nottingham High School, but I now work for one of the biggest companies in the world… Disney! I work for Disney Cruise Line as a youth activities counsellor, which means I work abroad and travel—a lot. I often visit America, Mexico, and even Disney’s private islands in the Bahamas.
Thank you, Holgate, for shaping my future… I now work for a mouse!
