All of our governors are volunteers and are passionate about ensuring the best possible outcomes for our students. We are proud of our academy and that it puts inclusivity and the care and wellbeing of students and staff at the forefront of everything we do. As governors, we are not directly involved in the day to day running of the academy but, together with Diverse Academies Trust of which Holgate is a part, we provide support, challenge and oversight to the academy leadership team.
Part of our remit as governors is to seek and listen to the views of students, parents, carers and the wider community. We try to attend all open days, parent forums and other events for that purpose. If you see us, please come over and have a chat.
In addition to the regular surveys that the academy undertakes to understand your views, we would very much encourage you to complete the ‘Parent View’ survey at least once per year.
