Why study hospitality and catering?

This course is suited to any student who likes experimenting with food, cooking and baking and who is thinking about further education in cookery and catering.

The course provides learners with experience of using different cooking techniques and an insight into hospitality. It will give them a basic understanding of the skills required for a career in hospitality.

This qualification aims to allow students to:

  • develop catering skills;
  • understand the hospitality and catering industry; and
  • experience hospitality and catering in action, based on a brief.
